Adalwolf-POV
It has been three days since the attack and the shadows have been seen near the boarder but have not passed or attacked us yet.
I'm sitting in my office with Alpha Light, Noah, Diago and Brandon. A worrior of my pack had just explained that there have been a couple of rouges in the woods as well.

Alpha Light has told me that those rouges are not just any wolves but are possessed by those shadows. She said that she can see those creatures looming over the rouge wolves that have attacked us.
"Roris' awake." Harke said through the mind link and startled me.
This was the first time i have ever spoken to him through the pack link and it slowly streched a small smile on my face.
"Alright. I'll be there, brother." I replied and Harke immideatly shuts the link off.
I looked over to the Alpha.
"Rori is awake. I'm afraid i have to cut this meeting short." Alpha Light nodded her head.

"Don't worry about it. My wolves and i will be leaving soon. I need to go back to my pack. If Mitchl is truly after us then they might not be safe. So, as soon as the shadows leave here, we'll be out of your hair."
She commented and i gave her and her people a nod before walking out of my room with Brandon by my side.
"How are you holding up?" Brandon asked and i glanced over to him.
He walks with his head held up high and his hood off his face. For the last four years, he's been ashamed of the scar on his face and the one cloudy eye. But now, i have to say that i'm damn proud of my beta for coming out of his shell.

"I'll be fine." I mumbled.
We walked the rest of the way to the pack hospital in silence.
I can smell her. My mate. My Rori.
The closer we got to her room, the more restless i grew. When we got to the door, i opened it as softly as i can as to not startle Rori.
I walked in to see Rori sitting up with her back pressed against the headboard and her blanket tucked up to her chin.
Her mother-Loni- was sitting to her right and my brother was to her left as Phoebe poured tea- or what ever witch thing she boiled- into a large mug.
The atmospher in the room was thick. Roris' mom had tears in her eyes that she wipped away as soon as she saw us. Rori and Harke looked like they'v been crying too.
Brandon doesn't waste a single second as he walked over to Phoebe and pulled her into him arms.
I wanted to do the same with Rori, but one step at a time. She needs as much time as possible to let me in and it's the time i'm willing to give her.
"What's wrong?" Brandon whispered to Phoebe but she shook her head. I didn't hear what they said to eachother after that as i focused my attention on my Rori.
She looks up at me with red puffy eyes. She looks so...broken right now. I walked over to the bed and sat infront of Harke with my left leg tucked under my weight.
To my surprise, Harke didn't leave the room or turn away with that same disgust on his face as i expected him to. Instead, he just sat their looking at Rori.
I shifted my gaze to my mate and saw that she was extreamly sad. She was asleep for the past two days and i was starting to get really worried. Now that she's awake, i'm worried even more.
"Rori..." I call out as soft as i can "Are you okay?" A stupid yet neccessary question.
She slowly let the blanket fall away from her chin before she nodded her head.
"I'm fine." She whispered and her voice cracked a little.
I'v been thinking of taking Rori to the main pack house after she wakes up but i have no idea how i'm going to approach the subject.
I took a glance at Loni and i know for sure that she would say no. But i still need to try. Because the main pack house is safer than their house.
I clear my throat before i Look back at my Rori.
"I was thinking that Rori should move into the main pack house for now."
All eyes snapped to me when as i continue "I think the house is not safe right now. Those things got really close so for now, i think it's best if you all leave the house and come to the main pack house."
I looked at Loni and Harke "I mean all of you."
I waited for any objections but it never came. Loni looked like she wanted to argue but held back.
The room grows quite before Phoebe finally speaks up.
"I think that's a good idea." Brandon nodded his head as well and Loni sighed.
"I think so too." That came from Harke.
"You'll come too?" Loni asked my brother and he glance at me before nodding his head.
Loni finally nodded her head and stood up.
"I'll go prepare our bags. Harke can help me." She commented before leaving the room.
Harke glance at me then at Rori. He placed a  kiss on her forehead and followed Loni. Shorty after, Phoebe pulled Brandon out of the room and i was left alone with Rori.
Rori had her hands on her lap and was looking down at them.
I have no idea what to say. But after a few minutes of silence, she beats me to it.
"Did i really see a dragon or was that just my imagination?" She asked me and i chuckled a bit before moving closer to her.
"You did see a dragon."
She looked up at me and waited for me to continue.
"You remember that Daigo guy?" I asked her and she nodded her head. I gave her a couple of seconds to process it and her eyes grew wide.
"Are you saying...Diago...He...oh, dear Goddess." She stuttered over her word and i couldn't help but laugh at her.
"WoW." She whispered before leaning her head back on the head board and i couldn't help but admire her.
There was a knock on the door and the pack doctor walked in.
***
After a few minutes of checkup, the doctor informed me that she can go home and we are now on our way to the main pack house.
She looked tense as we walked up to the house.
A few of the wolves and worriors stopped to stare but no one spoke a word.
Rori followed me to the room right next to mine. Even though i wanted her to be in my room, like i said before, baby steps.
As soon as i closed the door, she blew out a huge breath and sat on the bed. Eventhough she had been sleeping for the past two days, she looks like she's about to pass out again.
I walked over to her and went down on my knee before reaching out for her hand.
"You okay?" I asked and she nodded her head.
So far, she hasn't pushed me away like she always did from the very moment she got here, and i'm greatful for that.
I sighed "i need to take care of a few things but i'll be back soon. I'll ask someone to bring you something to eat too."
She once again nodded her head and i stood up. Even though i didn't want to, i had to go for a while to take care of the pack.
I asked Harke to get her food through the mind link and he actually responded.
***
I held the back of my head as a heavy sigh escaped my lips. Being an alpha is not easy. Especial when i have the elders all up in my ass for a luna. My only Luna is my Rori. And i will rather die than take another she-wolf.
I sighed again as i walked up the stairs and to Roris' room.
I softly knocked and heard her respond. When i walked in, she was curled up in the middle of the bed clenching the blankets into a fist.
Worry grabs me so fast that i rushed over to her side.
"What is it?" I asked but she shook her head before closing her eyes. She's slightly shivering and the fact that it's the hottest time of the year made me worried even more.
"Should i call the doctor?" I asked, helpless but she shook her head again.
"Just stay." She whispered and i didn't hesitate to push the shoes off my feet and clime ontop of the cover
I carefuly pulled her into my arms and she immideatly snuggled my side. With her head resting on my left arm, i used the right to run my hand up and down her back to help her keep warm.
She sucked in a breath then sighed. Her body stopped shivering and i waited tense for a few minutes for her to pull away. But she didn't.
Instead, she burried her face at the crook of my neck.
"Adal?" She whispered and i hummed for her to contiune. "Thank you." She mumbeled and her breath immideatly evened out.
I couldn't believe that she's actually letting me hold her. But i didn't dare look at a gift horse on the mouth. I placed a soft kiss on her cheek and closed my eyes.
This is the second night i'm sleeping with her in my arms. The first time was the night of the full moon. And even though i was in my head to enjoy the deapth of her touch, i still cherished it because i wasn't sure she'd ever let me that close again.
But here i am. Baby steps.
And on this night, i got to hold my Rori through out the night and i know for curtin that the moon goddess blessed me with the best mate.
