Rori-POV
I can feel warmth shining across my face. I can hear the distant wistle of a kettle. My lids lay heavy over my eyes as i tried to open them up.
The deffning sound of my heart beat gave me a bigger headache.

Slowly, i fought against my eyes and finally opened them. The sudden light that rushed to my sighte burned and i quickly closed them again. After a few minutes, i tried to open them back up. Even though it still hurts, i tried to blink several times to adjust to the light.
When my eyes finally cleared, i got confused. I looked around to see that everything was unfamiliar. Where the hell am i?
I took a deep breath only to feel pain stab me at my left rib and i winced. Slowly tracing my hands up my side, i brished my fingers to my side and found that i was bandaged and blood had stained the white cloth.
Pulling my fingers up to my face, i found a hint of blood from where i was touching my side and i felt the panic surge through my body. That was when i remembered what happened. I remembered the day of my birthday. I remembered how i walked to school with Harke and found out that Adalwolf was my mate, that he was disappointed, that i had a visious fight with my father, that i went out midnight to see my mate, that he rejected me and then that Brandon and i were attacked by something...
My throat suddenly burbed at the memory. I pressed my fingers to my stomach and looked over to the widely opened door. It was day time and my heart skipped a beat as i remembered that brandon was stuck in the car, upside down .
I quickly stood up only to let out a groan as i slammed on the floor. I looked down at my body. Pretty much all of my body was covered with blood stained bandages and my leg looked really bad too. The sudden memory of being thrown out of the car through the windshild cleared up my confusion. It seems i was hurt more than i though i was at the time.

"What are you doing?"
An angelic voice came from the door and i saw a woman rush towards me. She quickly pulled me up and sat me down at the edge of the bed.
"Why are you up?"
She asked but stormed out of the room before i could even answer her question or ask her who she was.

She came back holding a cup and pot of water, a wash cloth and a first-aid kit. She handed me the cup before she pulled a chair closer and sat infront of me.
When she leaned over to take my arm, i pulled away from here. If the boy i though was my rock could hurt me as much as he did, who is to say that a complete stranger wouldn't do worse.
As if she heard my thought, her eyes soften and she graced me with the most prettiest smile i have ever seen.
"I'm only trying to help. Please."
She pleaded before reaching out again. This time, i hesitantly let her take my arm. She started with the bandage around my hand and untied it as careful as she could.
While she was working on whipping the blood and applying what ever green think she had with her, i took a closer look at her face.
She looked young. Probably early twenties. She had thick raven hair that was breaded. It laid long over her left shoulder. She had deep green eyes and a kind, small face.
"Who are you?" I finally found my voice and she moved her gaze up to meet with mine before she smiled and returned to cleaning out my wounds.
"Phoebe Alvina is the name."
As simple as that, she finished with my hands and moved on to clean and change the bandage on my forearm.
She doesn't feel like a shifter or a human. She can't be a vampire since she came from outside in a day light.
"I'm a witch."
She explained without looking up at me before i could even ask.
"A witch that can read minds?" I asked and she chuckled.
"No. I can't read minds. But i can feel emotions like most supernatural creatures do. Right now you are confused and are in need of answers. I will give an answer to all your questions, Rori. All you need to do is ask."
She took me by surpries as she moved along to my other arm.
"How do you know my name?" The first question i asked was met with silence for a couple of minutes.
"I was supposed to meet you the day after you birthday."
So...she was the witch my father talked about. The one that was supposed to fix me. She continued before i could ask another question.
"I was on my way to the pack where Alpha Deamon of Ragewolf pack told me about when i came across you lot. Must have been a nasty car crash. I brough you here and you've been out for three weeks."
My eyes widen. "Three weeks?"
"Three weeks. I was afriad you wouldn't make it. If i was even a single second late that night..." she shook her head.
"Wait...i had someone with me. He was stuck in the drivers seat..." i start to panick again but Pheobe told me to stay clam. She looked a bit sad as i mentioned Brandon for some reason.
"Yes. I remember him. He had put up a good fight. But he was still badly injured and i couldn't drag both of you here. So i made sure he was safely delivered to his pack terriotry. I have even recived news that he is in the pack hospital."
She felt so lost as she spoke about him. It made me wonder how she got him home before i remembered the shadows.
"It wasn't a car crash." I whispered feeling my stomach turn inside out "something flipped the car. There were sadowns in the woods too. I couldn't make out what they were but they were large and, and...scary. what were those things."
"Its what they are. Shadows." She doesn't continued to elaborate and i didn't ask anymore questions either. Silence took over as she continued to change the bandages from ever wound and applied that green mix over tgem.
When she was done with my arms, she continued to my leg which was in the worse shape than the rest of my injuries. Then, she moved on to the cuts on my side. Turns out, i has a glass sticking out from my rib and she had to pull it out. Thanking the goddess that i was unconcious when that happened, she continued on to my back and small cuts.
When she was done, i felt like i was going to pass out from the pain.
"You should get more rest. I'll get you something to eat."
"Wait..."i called out "my father said you can fix me. Can you?" I don't know what i was thinking but all hope blures as she shook her head and stepped closer to me.
"I can't fix you. Only broken things can be fixed. And you Rori, are not broken."
Phoebe left me to think about all she had said. No matter how much i though about it, it left me with no clue. I can't help but be more curious. Phoebe came back with a large boul of soup and forced me to finish all of it.
I immideatly feel a lot better and couldn't help but wounder if she had some kind of magic in it.
"I don't use magic. Haven't used in many years."
She answered before i could even ask her and she tucked me in. As she left me to rest, the past eighteen years i have lived in my pack slowly played back in my head.
It was my home. Even if it was never perfect, there were a few things that made me love it with all my heart. I don't know how long Phoebe would let me stay but one thing is for sure. I don't have a home to go back to anymore.
I'm going to miss mom. I'm going to miss Harke and his gossips. I am going to miss Adalwolf and our sweet shared moments where we never dared cross any lines that might ruin our friendship and our special spots by the bench and the pure pond.
Here is to all i am never going to see again.
I love you.
